۱۸شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۹ خورشیدی،دولت ایران بنا به تقاضای دولت جمهوری عربی یمن ، این دولت را به رسمیت شناخت و دو دولت برقرار روابط سیاسی بین دو کشور را مورد تایید قرار دادند.
۱۸شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۵۰ خورشیدی،وزیر اطلاعات در کاخ سعد آباد رضا قطبی را به سمت مدیر عامل رادیو تلویزیون ملی ایران معرفی کرد.
۱۸شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۵۰ خورشیدی،دولت کانادا با تشکیل کمیته برگزاری جشن های ۲۵۰۰ ساله به ریاست مجلس سمای آن کشور همکاری و شرکت خود را در این مراسم اعلام کرد.جمعی از شخصیتهای برجسته کانادا در این کمیته عضویت یافتند.
