۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۵ خورشیدی،آئین نامه شورای عالی آموزش و پرورش از طرف کمیسیون پارلمانی مجلس شورای ملی به تصویب رسید.
۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۵ خورشیدی،دولت ایران الحاق خود را به عنوان کنوانسیون بین المللی مربوط به یکنواخت کردن بعضی از مقررات مربوط به حقوق ممتاز و رهن دریایی که در دهم آوریل ۱۹۲۶ میلادی در بروکسل منعقد شده بود اعلام داشت.
۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۸ خورشیدی،به مناسبت روز پیکار با بیسوادی و کوششی که در راه پیکار با بیسوادی در جهان شده است، ایران مبلغ پنج هزار دلار به مسئولان یک دبیرستان دخترانه تانزانیایی اعطا کرد.
شروع به کار دولت هویدا در پاییز سال ۱۳۴۷ خورشیدی
۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۷ خورشیدی،جمعیت شیر و خورشید سرخ ایران اعلام کرد بر اثر وقوع زلزله خراسان ۱۰ هزار نفر جان خود را از دست داده اند.
۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۹ خورشیدی،هفتمین جشنواره بین المللی فیلمهای آموزشی کشور با شرکت بیست و یک کشور جهان گشایش یافت.این جشنواره به منظور بالا بردن سطح معلومات معلمان ،محصلان و دانش پژوهان کشور در شهرهای تهران، رضائیه ،تبریز، مشهد و شیراز تشکیل شد.
۱۷شهریور ماه سال ۱۳۴۹ خورشیدی،طی مراسمی در کاخ سنا جایزه ویژه پیکار با بیسوادی ،به نماینده موسسه ملی و آموزشی ؛رادیو فونیک؛آقای ؛ستاتن زا؛از کشور کلمبیا اهدا شد.
